November 2012

Mercury goes retrograde this month from 6th to 26th requiring us to rethink certain matters and a total eclipse of the Sun on 13th also occurs in this same area of life (different for each sign).  This eclipse belongs to a positive cycle of joy found through making a commitment.  Soon after, Mars catches up with Pluto from 18th to 27th, bringing other intensities to the fore…

So what will this mean for us all?

(Read your Sun sign and your Ascendant sign if you know it).

Aries:   The solar eclipse on 13th and Mercury’s rethink area are both in your 8th House of transformation.  This includes the fundamental processes of life (birth, sex and death), joint funds and sharing.  Focus your attention on these areas and learn what you can about yourself, not forgetting that crises are full of opportunities too.  The 8th House covers survival through our interaction and sharing with others.  Examine your financial matters and indebtedness of all kinds but don’t take action until late in the month.  On a sweeter level, relationships and partnerships are harmonious up to 22nd after which those ‘shared’ areas get more structured.  Mars and Pluto highlight father, career and social status.  Ambitions will be riding high but watch out for ruthlessness!

Taurus:   Relationships and partnerships and your position or attitude towards them need a rethink.  Taureans are not renowned for changing their minds but as you may not have made yours public, there is still plenty of room to manoeuvre.  Dealings with others may make life messier but perhaps in the interests of ‘life’ that’s OK.  The eclipse on 13th introduces the theme of happiness found in making a commitment.  Your philosophy is also encountering intense realisations.  This could come about through travel or dealings with deep-thinkers, other cultures or legal matters.  Relationships at work go smoothly up to 22nd.  And  partnerships shape up from Venus’s arrival in your 7th House soon after!

Gemini:   Work, health, service to others and daily routine all need a rethink.  Relationships with colleagues may need looking at too.  The eclipse on 13th suggests making a commitment.  Could this be to fulfilling work?  Or a commitment to your own health and well-being?  Love affairs, children and speculation all run smoothly until 22nd.  Although it becomes apparent from 18th to 27th that joint funds, taxes or debts need some forensic action.  Don’t be faint-hearted!  Passions may be riding high too.  The Full Moon in your sign on 28th can also offer expression to pent up energies which have been gathering in your ‘shared’ area.  Give emotional expression full reign!

Cancer:   Love affairs, children and creativity are your areas for scrutiny this month.  They require a rethink.  Communications may not be easy but the conclusions from your deep reflection can be voiced after 26th.  The eclipse on13th in this same areas, along with an intense reminder of power dynamics (including passions) in your relationships and partnerships zone make for strong experiences.  With your Water sign heritage, you do not shrink away from depth.  Delve into your innate wells of understanding as you process the events of this month (be they internal or external) and try to relax demanding schedules in order to give this important process the time it deserves.

Leo:   Mother and home( in the broadest sense) occupy your thoughts this month and can help to inform your personal development in coming to terms with nurturing patterns you grew up with and patterns of self-nurture that may need reviewing now.  We spring into the world from the home, so paying attention and perhaps rethinking the structure of the home and emotional conditions there can be helpful too.  If living alone, seeking out sensitive people and self-soothing should help.  Mars and Pluto in your work, health and daily routine zone stress the importance of what you arrange for yourself in daily life.  Be sure to put positive structures in place.

Virgo:   Communications and your thought patterns or way of looking at things need to be re-examined this month.  However we think about things makes it so.  Therefore a different angle may be needed to obtain a calmer mind.  Or things may need to be said so that others are quite clear where the boundary lies.  Always noted for their precision, Virgos can hit the nail exactly on the head.  Don’t be afraid to do so now!  Powerful feelings arise in connection to love affairs, children and creativity.  Don’t implode.  Express yourself!

Libra:   Although you are oozing charm this month (up to 22nd), money, possessions, security, values and self-esteem are the hot potatoes and should be your focus.  A review is needed.  This may not be comfortable but your foundations need to be realistic and in the right place.  Mother and home are also highlighted towards the end of the month.  Powerful forces are at work here too and dramatic action may be needed.  Power issues within the home may need looking at and acting upon.  Personal development is implicated too.  Get the basics sorted so you can spring into the world without tangled reeds around your feet.

Scorpio:   Well Scorpios, this month is the beginning of your huge self-reckoning process and it won’t be light-weight.  As depth is your forte, this is par for the course and many things about yourself begin to move into focus which is massively helpful in the journey ahead of conscious development as opposed to knee-jerk reactions.  Communications and the power of thought and words add to the intensity.  While you are capable of saying things to people that they may never forget, the person to address now may be yourself (although siblings or neighbours may feature too).  Total honesty should be used to clarify, not to hurt.  Be aware of the power of words as you fairly state what you have to say.

Sagittarius:   Dreams, visions, the unconscious (including the collective unconscious) and possibly even internet activity are all areas to reconsider.  The eclipse on 13th might also herald that compassion towards the pain and suffering of others, outcasts and people on the edge of society could be an area to mull over and possibly make a commitment to too.  Loving feelings towards friends and groups warm the first three weeks of the month.  But from 18th onwards survival matters regarding finances, self-esteem or values will be compelling.  The changes which have been rumbling since 2008 may now require action.  Steer well away from fear and be brave!

Capricorn:   Friends, groups, communities and organisations require a rethink which becomes especially apparent with the eclipse on 13th.  Meanwhile people in positions of authority will grant you favours up to 22nd.  However the land lies and whatever the huge changes since 2008, the movement of Mars into Capricorn on 18th will reinforce you and enable you to take bold and even drastic action.  Mars and Pluto last joined up in your sign mid-December 2010.  You now have a better understanding of issues which became apparent then and know what you must now do…

Aquarius:   A whole rethink regarding father, career and social status change the landscape and the implications are massive.  Feel your way towards what makes personal sense to your experiences and understanding.  The path may not yet be clear but you will become aware of the central agenda.  Have faith that it will unfold in due course.  Travel, study and legal matters favour you up to 22nd.  The internet may provide you with important information so long as you guard against compulsive use.  Your unconscious is working intensively behind the scenes too from 18th.  Retreats and time away from daily demands can be transformational.  Pay attention too to the information carried in your dreams and be a good friend to yourself!

Pisces:   Travel, philosophy, people from other cultures or legal matters may require your attention.  A rethink is on the agenda which will colour your approach to life.  An honest application of principles – positive principles – beyond self-interest, are called for.  Mars joins Pluto in your House of friends, groups, community and organisations from 18th.  This implicates power issues.  Be high-minded here too.  There will be benefits until 22nd from the money of others and sharing.  Aim for harmony and fairness.

October 2012

October 2012

There is a major shift this month as Saturn changes residence after a three year stay in Libra.  Saturn, ‘the teacher’ has been providing us with prolonged lessons in responsibility and self-awareness and the material covered should now be firmly under our belts.  Saturn never disappears though, he just moves on to the next stage of our ongoing development, so expect a change of focus on the head-scratching front.

Mercury and Venus and even Mars are whizzing through the signs.  Mercury zips through Libra, Scorpio and Sag, while Venus glides from Leo to Virgo and then Libra.  She spends most of the month in Virgo though, so they will be our ‘Charmers of the Month’.

Mercury moves into Scorpio on October 5th, along with Saturn.  And Mars, never keen on restrictions, moves out on 7th into Sag. and sets up a wild and lively dynamic with Uranus in Aries from 11th to 18th.  He then opposes Jupiter from 25th to the end of the month, when philosophical, cultural or religious differences could get heated.

So what will this mean for us all?

Aries:   You’ve just graduated from ‘relationships and partnerships school’ and your next course of study is in the transformational processes of life: birth, sex and death, joint funds and resources (including taxes, debts and inheritances) and sharing.  Relationships at work go well for most of the month, as should health (so long as you don’t over-indulge).  Travel, deep-study, philosophy and other cultures are looking lively too.  You’ll be tempted to strike out on your own beam mid-month.  Be creative about it and don’t settle for compromise.

Taurus:   You’ve done your bit in work, health and service to others and now the area for reflection is relationships and partnerships.  Your quest should become clear during the first week of the month.  Romance, dealings with children and creativity look sweet for most of the month.  Sharing (including sharing yourself) shakes you up and questions outworn mindsets, especially your previous position on security…  This could be exciting IF you allow it to show you a new way.  Full Moon in Taurus on 29th agrees!

Gemini:   You’ve completed three years of ‘learning’ in your love affairs, children and creativity zone and the new sobering area is going to be work, health and service to others.  Mother and home will be lovely for most of the month – good for entertaining!  Unexpected developments in your partners and friends zones strike mid-month.  Prepare to be challenged by partners at the end of the month too.  Although it may feel like someone trying to burst your bubble, this is a chance to grow.

Cancer: Saturn concludes its long lessons in your mother and home sector and you can now apply your conclusions on the home front.  Mars raises your energy levels at work or in your daily routine.  Use it to get things done rather than feeding conflict situations.  You might feel like striking out and doing your own thing mid-month which could surprise others and impact your status in some way.  Relationships with siblings and neighbours go well from 6th to 28th.  Enjoy them.

Leo:   Saturn finishes its three year sombre stay in your communications zone which will lighten your mind, allow you to be more expressive and could even make physical movement easier too.  Relationships with siblings and neighbours could improve accordingly.  Creative energy is on hand from 7th which will have surprising effects on travel, philosophical or legal matters.  This could also be a call to be more romantic or to make headway in your dealings with children.  After some confusion during the first week, finances sweeten up, as does a sense of security and self-esteem.  October’s looking good!

Virgo:   Saturn gets out of your finance zone on 5th after a long and testing stay and conditions improve even more after 28th.  Energy (or friction) in the home will make you more assertive.  This could raise unpredicted passions mid-month about sharing or joint funds (or intimacy) and could affect your status from 25th.  You might feel beguiled by someone up to 6th but after that the person doing all the beguiling will be you!  Venus in Virgo bestows you with irresistible charm.  Go easy on your natural modesty and enjoy it!

Libra:   The weight moves off your back on 5th as Saturn leaves Libra where it has been weighing you down full-time since mid-July 2010 and for a while before that (from  late October 2009 to early April 2010).  Communications get brisker too as Mars in your 3rd house makes you more assertive and astute.  This could take partners by surprise mid-month and could affect travel, philosophical and legal matters from 25th.  Meanwhile, time spent alone or on retreats is healing.  Amidst the hectic pace of life, make time for gentle reflection and daydreaming!

Scorpio:   The long, hard-to-pinpoint rumblings of Saturn moving through your unconscious come to an end on 5th and things become more visible and concrete.  This will probably come as a relief but it’s time to take stock and look at yourself square on.  This will take some time and three years has been allotted for you to do just that.  Mercury moves into your sign on the same day so this doesn’t have to be an exercise in solitary confinement.  Communication is going to be key during this first month.  Money, work and ‘sharing’ all look unrestful but do your best.  The lovely area is friends – take comfort there.

Sagittarius:   Things lighten in your groups and friendships zone from 5th as Saturn moves out of your 11th House.  Your lessons are complete for now in this area and hopefully you’ve graduated.  Mars entering your sign on 7th gives you an extra boost of energy that’s going to be around until late December.  People might find you more assertive as a result and no harm in that.  There may be a knock-on effect mid-month in your romance, children and creativity zone which could surprise others and you might have more than usual to say to ‘partners’ from 25th.  People in high places smile upon you from 3rd to 28th.  If seeking favours, ask then.

Capricorn:   Saturn leaves its long sojourn in your 10th House of father, career and social status on 5th.  You’ve survived your three years of lessons and things should now lighten in these areas.  Mars stirs up your unconscious from 7th which could have surprising consequences mid-month in your romance, children and creativity zone.  This could be just as much of a surprise to you as to others.  There could also be a knock-on effect in work, health, service to others and daily routine from 25th.  Travel and legal matters run sweetly from 3rd to 28th – spread those wings!

Aquarius:   Hold-ups in travel, study and legal matters lift on 5th and your philosophical outlook should be cheerier as a result.  How to think about things has been one of the items under scrutiny and you can now apply your conclusions.  Mars gives you extra energy for friendships, groups and community from 7th.  This gives you exciting ideas mid-month and challenges your present position on love affairs, children and creativity from 25th.  The money of others and sharing both bring benefits this month!

Pisces:   Your long and hard-learnt lessons in sharing and the money of others complete on 5th and should lighten things up accordingly.  Venus gliding into your 7th House of partnerships for most of the month also brings warm, light relief.  The only tricky fly in the ointment could be Mars which heightens your ambitions and brings surprising effects to your changeable finances and possibly self-esteem mid-month (and then challenges home-life from 25th).  Make sure you use this positively and don’t ride roughshod over others.

September 2012

September 2012

Mercury, normally clear as a bell in Virgo, runs into fog during the first week of September, as it finds itself opposite Neptune and Chiron.  Venus helps by attracting attention elsewhere, as she dramatically strides into Leo on 6th.  The main player this month though is Pluto which goes direct on 18th after being retrograde since mid-April; changing power dynamics in many situations.  This will be in a different area of life for each sign of the zodiac.

So what will it mean for you?

(Read your Sun sign and your Ascendant sign if you know it).

Aries:   Pluto starts to move forwards on 18th in your father, career and social status zone.  It’s been in reverse since mid-April, so any uncertainty will soon be behind you.  Pluto is about power too, so you may gather a sense of your own (use it wisely).  Overcoming obstacles that have been holding you back (possibly yourself…) could be one good application.  Romance and children look good from 6th and partnerships become more active after 22nd.  Saturn’s last lap through your 7th House is finishing off the two and a half year learning process in your relationships and partnerships area.  The Sun arrives there on 22nd and tries to rescue or jolly things along.  Whether this is possible or not will probably become clear when Full Moon in your sign on 30th will demand total uncompromising honesty.  Insist upon it from others and be sure to offer nothing less yourself.

Taurus:   Philosophical, travel or legal matters start to move forwards on 18th and home is sweet from 6th.  Share some of that harmony entertaining others.  Beautifying it could be part of the picture too.  Friendship v. romance looks confusing the first week of the month and Mars may arouse passions regarding relationships and partnerships.  Full Moon on 30th brings sudden realisations and an aspect of yourself that you usually keep under wraps may come to the fore.  The two and a half year weight of Saturn in your work and health zone is almost over.  The Sun brightens prospects from 22nd and by Oct 5th it will all be history!

Gemini:   Pluto shifts helpfully forwards on 18th, improving your joint finances zone and attitudes towards sharing.  Your two and a half year study programme on love affairs, children and creativity is rounding the last bend.  And the Sun helps to lighten things a little from 22nd.  Complexities between career and home look tricky from 1st to 7th but Venus in your 3rd House of communications should help to resolve any misunderstandings.  Full Moon on 30th brings the unexpected from friends, groups and community and something can be learnt about your ideals.

Cancer:   Venus in your sign squares up to Saturn on 3rd which could feel like obstacles in the home.  (Yes, this could take the form of people).  Saturn’s almost completed its long and heavy run (or two and a half year crawl) through your mother and home zone and the Sun helps things along from 22nd.  Romance, children and creativity give you energy and partnerships start to move forward on 18th.  Siblings, neighbours and different cultures, travel or legal matters clash during the first week of August but fortunate finances help to sort things out in the following weeks.  Your hunches are still working well –  trust them.

Leo:   What a charmer you are this month as Venus glides into your sign from 6th.  Saturn’s two and a half year stay in your 3rd House of communications has only five more weeks to run and meanwhile you have lots of ‘energy’ to apply to your roots, home and personal development.  Power issues connected to work, health and service to others start to move forwards from 18th after a five month period in reverse.  And the Full Moon on 30th brings emotional surprises connected to travel, philosophy and legal matters.  Let it excite you.

Virgo:   Thinking straight (your usual forte) will be far from easy during the first week of September.  Your ruling planet Mercury moving through your sign would normally delight in Virgo’s crisp, clarity but this time Neptune and Chiron are fogging things up from your partnership zone and it’s hard to see the wood for the trees.  Venus comes to the rescue from 6th when the best thing might be to trust your hunches but be precise in your communications.  Romance, children and creativity start to move forwards from 18th after five months in reverse.  If the Full Moon on 30th brings things to light about sharing or joint funds, be prepared to be honest with yourself and take action!

Libra:   The month begins with an opportunity to look at how ways of thinking impact your health but the big shift this month is in your mother and home zone when Pluto moves direct on 18th after five months in reverse.  This could indicate forward movement in power issues in the home, a home make-over, plumbing work or progress in your personal development.  Energy abounds as Mars gallops through your 2nd House.  Use it to further your income (rather than conflicts over money).  Friends, groups and community matters go well from 6th.  If the Full Moon on 30th brings up surprises in partnerships, be ready with the truth!

Scorpio:   There may be confusion between friendship and romance during the first week of September but this fades into insignificance as Mars propels you along with a huge amount of energy and drive to get things done.  Communications and dealings with siblings and neighbours improve from 18th after five months in reverse.  Channel the power of your mind for transformation.  And those in authority smile upon you from 6th so if you need any favours – ask.  Your status looks rosy too.  Saturn’s two and a half year long plod through your unconscious is almost complete and you should be much more aware of your inner-workings as a result.  Take any work or health surprises that crop up with the Full Moon on 30th, in your stride.

Sagittarius:   Getting things clear with father, career and social status is tricky during the first week of September due to confusion and interference from mother and home.  But Venus saves the day bringing a gentler philosophy or favourable travel or legal matters from 6th.  (Attraction to people from other cultures or viewpoints is a possibility too).  The big shift though is Pluto’s change of direction in your 2nd House of money, security and self-esteem, after five months in reverse.  Things are moving forwards.  Look on the interesting side of surprises that crop up on 30th when the Full Moon stars in your romance, children and creativity zone.

Capricorn:   The law is clear but communications are not – which just creates confusion during the first week of September.  Nevertheless, a sense of power returns to you from 18th after a five-month ebb, seemingly of others wielding theirs inappropriately.  You’re still currently the phoenix of the zodiac as this month will yet again prove.  This is the last full month of Saturn in your 10th House which has been weighing down matters to do with father, career and social status for the last two and a half years.  From 6th Venus favours you in sharing, joint funds and the money of others – about time!

Aquarius:   Finances look confusing during the first week of September but the distraction of Venus in your 7th House of partnerships will draw your focus to sweeter things from Sep 6th onwards.  You feel better inclined towards existing partners or more open to new possibilities if you’re single.  You’ll be applying energy to your career and status this month but the biggest shift is far behind the scenes in your unconscious when Pluto goes direct on 18th after five months moving backwards.  This means you can harness your mind to work for you, not against you.  Yes, anything is possible.

Pisces:  Communications and thought processes may not lend themselves to clarity during the first week of September, so use the flow for painting, poetry and dancing instead.  Pluto moves direct on 18th, turning around power dynamics with friends, community and organisations.  Be sure to use yours honourably.  Saturn has almost completed its long stretch of lessons in your area of sharing, joint funds and the money of others.  The Sun will help things along here from 22nd.  The Full Moon on 30th brings about surprises in finances, security and self-esteem.  Be ready for an awakening.

August 2012

August 2012

This month Mercury goes direct on 8th releasing us from a catalogue of miscommunications and mislaid items.  Then we have a few days of plain sailing until Mars hits Saturn from 12th until 20th (which might be felt earlier too).

Mars -Saturn suggests force v. resistance.  Not comfortable: but this can help to bring about a breakthrough in stagnant structures, defences and debilitating fears.  At the very least, underlying tensions will be brought to the surface which can be helpful, although not everyone welcomes such outings.

Mars can help Saturn to move forwards and overcome its self-imposed limitations, if Saturn allows it to, rather than trying to control everything (its usual stance).  Whether Mars benefits at all however, is hard to say.  Certainly it may learn some self-discipline and become more practical and grounded but it could equally turn into an exercise in sheer frustration.  Accordingly, this would not be a good time for launching new projects.

The New Moon in Leo on 17th reminds us to be creative in our problem solving.  But wait until after 20th to apply your great solutions.  Venus completes its extended four-month tour through Gemini on 7th and glides into the next sign, making Cancerians the charismatic darlings of the zodiac for a month.  Be sure to include them in your invitations.  For the rest of us, it is a good time to create some harmony in the home, be that visual, emotional or musical.

So what will these planetary movements mean for us all?

Aries:   Your mother and home zone sweetens from 7th and communications with children or love affairs moves forwards from 8th.  The two year build up of difficulty in relationships and partnerships starts to crescendo from 12th.  There’s a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel on 17th when the New Moon helps you to realise how to move creatively forwards (although action may not be possible until after 20th).  Work and health look brighter after 23rd, include positive self-talk so you’re firing on all cylinders.

Taurus:   Communications are your forte this month (from 7th), as Venus turns your tongue and pen to honey.  A sobering week from 12th when health or work matters demand your attention.  A sideways approach will strangely help.  Make a creative new start at home on 17th and see how it helps these other areas.  Mars bursts into your relationships and partnerships zone on 23rd, just as Sun moves into your 5th House of love affairs, children and creativity.  Could this be romance, or even love?

Gemini:   Finances look good from 7th and communications pick up from 8th.  So all is well, until Mars hits Saturn in your love affairs, children and creativity zone from 12th to 20th (and maybe earlier).  Ouch!  New Moon on 17th should creatively oil the wheels in communications.  But don’t forget, however we think about things, makes it so.  Why do I mention this?  It’s time to be more creative in your way of thinking…  I can see you frowning as you read this but keep an open mind, you might even enjoy it!

Cancer:   Venus enters your sign on 7th making your charms more than apparent to all.  But what a contrast to things with mother and home…  Try to welcome or be philosophical about whatever gets stirred up and voiced.  Better out than in.  And look for a creative approach to whatever’s causing all this tension.  The New Moon on 17th should give you a wider angle on how security should be looked at.  Take action with words (spoken or written) from 23rd.

Leo:  You’ll be pleased to know that Mercury (which has been scuppering up your sense of self) starts getting more helpful from 8th after over three weeks in reverse gear.    The New Moon in your sign also heralds a new start on 17th when life can be looked at afresh once again.  Venus is soothing your unconscious this month too.  The Mars – Saturn battle will be in communications from 12th – 20th.  It’s temporary.  Keep that in mind if things get unpleasant for a while (including your own thoughts).  Old structures and ways of thinking are being challenged.  Welcome this as a break-through.  And get more exercise!

Virgo:   For someone so helpful, why is it you’re so unhelpful to yourself?  Yes, Mercury’s been retrograde for a while, confusing your compassion and self-talk but that gets resolved on 8th.  Could the underlying cause be self-esteem?  Either that or money are going to raise their heads from 12th to 20th.  And the two may somehow be linked.  It’s time to look honestly and unflinchingly at whatever comes up.  New Moon in Leo on 17th could be an opportunity to start being nicer to yourself.  And the Sun entering your sign on 23rd (after a 12-month absence) brings renewal and fresh energy.  This is your astrological New Year.  Make resolutions that favour yourself.  And stick to them!

Libra:   The tensions arising from 12th (and possibly before), bring personal realisations you may have been trying to avoid.  There’s been a two and a half year build up to this opportunity for deeper self-understanding.  It may be a bitter herb but grasp it as a helpful friend.  If you can embrace the truth, the New Moon on 17th shows the way forward and movement becomes possible on 20th.  Make the most of Venus enhancing your reputation from 7th.  It will incline those in authority to smile warmly upon you.  You have right up until Sept 6th to ask them for favours.

Scorpio:   The confusing mess-ups and misunderstandings in your father, career and status zone move out of reverse on 8th which will doubtless be a relief.  The New Moon on 17thbrings a creative fresh start there, so hang on till then.  Mars and Saturn meet up from 12th to 20th in your unconscious zone.  This isn’t comfortable but it could be time to look yet again at unhelpful thinking patterns and self-talk.  Work on whatever you find and become more supportive of yourself (not defensive).  Mars enters your sign on 23rd.  What does that mean?  Loads of energy and fresh resolve!  Use it to move forwards.

Sagittarius:   Money from others or sensual delights may flow your way after 7th and career and status brighten from 23rd.  Serious matters build up in your friends, groups and community area from 12th and will require some serious thought.  The New Moon on 17thmight help with a new philosophical outlook or a clearer perspective.  If hitting the road, wait until after 8th.  Squeeze in time with nature too.  Wherever you hang your hat is your home.

Capricorn:   Another memorable month for Goats!  Relationships and partnerships proceed sweetly from 7th and the communication block on shared funds lifts on 8th.  Your father, career and status zone take momentous priority from 12th to 20th.  This may not come as a surprise as you’ve been battling both restrictions and extra responsibilities for two full years (perhaps even two and a half).  New Moon in Leo on 17th comes to the rescue, bringing creative sharing and generosity to the surface.  Apply your new understanding from 20th.  Travel and legal matters brighten from 22nd.  Friends, groups and community help you to think and communicate more creatively from 23rd.  Take their advice.

Aquarius:   Communications in relationships and partnerships improve after 8th and the New Moon on 17th brings a fresh start.  This will help with the tensions presenting from 12th to 20th connected to travel, philosophy, and legal matters.  Venus glides into your 6th House of work and health on 7th, softening relationships with co-workers and people in your daily life.  Health should be glowing too, so long as you don’t over-indulge…

Pisces:   Communications at work start to improve after 8th and the New Moon on 17th heralds a fresh start in this area.  Strangely, this could also help an on-going situation in your 8th House, regarding the money of others, joint funds and sharing which get even more tense from 12th to 20th.  There are still things for you to learn here.  Venus smoothes along travel and legal matters and softens your outlook from 7th.  Apply it to those tricky areas.

July 2012

July 2012 Horoscope

The two heavy-weights of our solar system are flexing their muscles this month – Uranus and Pluto.  Uranus is the planet of change, disruption and revolution and Pluto, the planet of annihilation for regenerative purposes.  Have we had these two gang up before?  Yes, in the 1960s when cultural trends took a sharp turn from the status quo, Uranus was conjunct Pluto (an easier relationship).

But in the early 1930s, Uranus and Pluto were square (much more challenging) and eighty years later here they are lined-up in the same 90º relationship again.  There is plenty of time to get used to this, as they are going to be squaring up until 2018…

The beginning of this planetary line-up coincides with the Full Moon, also on July 3rd which pulls in Pluto too.  So expect dramatic and possibly drastic results.  Power clashes could result and certainly a shake-up of some kind to existing structures.  Some might tumble.

While we all share in the outcomes of major change, these planets also impact us personally, in different areas of life for each sign.

So what will this mean for you?

Aries:  On July 3rd Mars moves into your partnership zone bringing energy (or friction) and triggering the need for drastic transformation to do with father, career or social status.  You will know what needs to be done.  Uranus’s change of direction on 13th indicates that your new way forward may need some revisions.  Dealings with siblings and neighbours are sweet all month and a lovely aspect on 5th (a.m.) is great for all communications.

Taurus:   Energy or friction in your work, health and daily routine zone, trigger conflicts between your unconscious and belief system.  Your location (or your attitude towards it) needs a drastic overhaul.  Travel, legal matters, studies and dealings with in-laws could all be up for transformational grabs.  Your mother and home zone needs looking at too from mid-month.  Thank goodness finances at least are looking healthier!

Gemini:   Yes, you’re still the main charmer of the pack and on the morning of 5th, the planetary wind is delightfully behind you.  The perplexing areas this month, however are: friends v. love affairs, collective achievement v. personal creativity or community v. children.  Whichever it is, your approach to sharing resources and sharing yourself needs to undergo a transformation.  Warning: this will require self-honesty…

Cancer:   As Mars enters your 4th House of mother and home, you are definitely ready for action (and hopefully not conflict).  Relationships and partnerships are in need of transformation, as the Full Moon on 3rd will remind you.  Father, career and social status are also going to require another look as Uranus moves into reverse gear on 13th.  Something more original has to be conjured up…  Benefits through the internet and dreams all month!

Leo:   Communications heat up from 3rd which might lead you to question your philosophy on life.  Travel or legal plans seem to change by the minute requiring you to be flexible.  Yes, you!   Circumstances make it very clear that you need to transform work, health or daily routine.  So apply yourself to the physicality of life and the here and now.  Mercury goes retrograde in your sign from 15th so be sure to get important paperwork or negotiations done before then!

Virgo:   Finances are hotting up.  This could either be you raring to go to increase your income or disputes over money.  This is not a time to compromise and people will have to get used to whatever you decide to do.  Having said that, there seems no end to the unpredictable demands others are making on your resources.  The fallout from this lands in your 5th House of love affairs, children and creativity.  There have to be massive changes here (as the Full Moon on 3rd makes clear).  Make them and inner tensions will ease.

Libra:  Could it be you’re getting more assertive?  Yes it could.  Mars enters your sign on 3rd and leads the way.  Partners might not be expecting this and could prove troublesome.  You may need to review the changeable events of recent months and perhaps each other.  This clash brings transformation to your mother and home zone, as heralded by the Full Moon which also falls on 3rd.  It’s time to stand your ground!

Scorpio:   Your unconscious and work, health or daily routine are at odds with each other.  The only way to deal with this is – transformation in: how you deal with others, your physical movements and self-talk.  Writing, dance, exercise or singing could be helpful and dealings with siblings or neighbours could be significant.  The power of thought (how you think about things) and the power of words are key.  Be sure to use them wisely.

Sagittarius:   Your security zone is getting rocked and you’ll have to get used to it.  The disruption starts on 3rd and is coming from a clash between your friends, groups and community zone versus love affairs, children and creativity.  Heading for the hills doesn’t even look promising (until after Aug 8th).  ‘We are strong in that which we can do without’ – is a good stance to explore.

Capricorn:  The month starts with a big shake-out.  Mars moves into your 10th House of father, career and social status bringing energy (or antagonism), just as the Full Moon falls in your sign (both on July 3rd).  There are already big changes in your mother and home area and the only way to escape all of this tension is through deep inner-transformation.  This is a tall order but you (more than most) have the stature to make that call.  Amaze us all (and don’t sign anything between Jul 15th and Aug 8th!)

Aquarius:   Travel, studies, legal wrangles or philosophical dilemmas impact your communications (and possibly dealings with siblings or neighbours).  Your unconscious has to somehow sort all of this out, so give it some slack: i.e. plenty of sleep, time for daydreaming and creative pursuits.  The internet might come in helpful too.  Mercury goes retrograde in your relationships and partnerships zone on 15th so if any moves have to be made, be bold before then.

Pisces:   Mars moves into your shared area on 3rd bringing energy (and possibly antagonism), to an already rocky sense of security.  This can result in power moves in groups, community or organisations.  Communications move into reverse from 15th at work (or in health and service to others).  Try to put it all to rights after Aug 8th.  Home is still sweet and love affairs, children and creativity are sunny for most of the month.  Seek refuge there.

June 2012

June 2012 Horoscope

We have three changes of direction and a big jump in June.  Saturn goes direct on 25th on its last lap through Libra.  Venus also goes direct on 27th and Neptune goes retrograde on the 4th.  But the exciting news is…..

Big, boisterous Jupiter, planet of growth, expansion and opportunity is on the move.  Having reached the end of its year’s stretch in Taurus, Jupiter is off to jolly-up Gemini, starting June 11th.

On a collective level, Jupiter is bringing dispersal, information and redistribution.  Time to dissolve or move whatever is not working.  This is to clear the decks for the next phase of renewal (next year).

Physically, Jupiter is the biggest planet in our solar system and its magnetic field is the largest and most powerful.  So BIG opportunities could come along too (also known as luck).  Some would say good luck is the degree to which we are ready to grasp our opportunities.  Whether you agree with this or not, it is a good stance to take.  Jupiter is going to be in Gemini until June 2013.

On an individual level, growth and expansion in Gemini can either take the form of  frenetic, hyper-activity, burning up the nervous system (and other people’s patience) or a deepening of communication, a massive spreading of information and joie de vivre and a readiness to trust the day and whatever it brings.

As well as being curious, Gemini is full of fun and playfulness and loves to communicate – qualities we can all apply to different areas of life over the coming year.  Enjoy Jupiter in Gemini, use it well and let it show you how your world can be livelier and more interesting.

So what will this mean for us all? Where will Jupiter be taking you over the next 12 months?

Aries:   You’ll be pleased to hear that Saturn’s change of direction lifts the three -month block on relationships from 25th.  Your ability to chat and charm returns on 27th too.  Jupiter in your 3rd House of thought and communication is here to liberate your mind and remind you that everything is neutral and that pain and suffering only come from how we interpret and think about things.  So might as well think positive!  Communications improve accordingly, as could relationships with neighbours and siblings.  Try new forms of movement!

Taurus:   Saturn’s change of direction moves work and health matters forward on 25th (having been in reverse since early-Feb).  Money is easier to find from 27th too.  Jupiter in your 2nd House of finance, possessions and security bring new opportunities and not always as anticipated.  Your philosophy might become more expansive and perhaps less reliant on material things.  Your views on security might change too.  Be open and ready for growth.  (And make sure you’re eating healthily).

Gemini:   Saturn’s change of direction on 25th brings about an improvement in love affairs and with children.  But there’s bigger news than that.  Jupiter’s entry into your 1st House marks the completion of one 12 year cycle of expansion and the beginning of another.  Devote some time to think about what you would like this new cycle of expansion to be about.  Then stretch to reach it.  This might involve letting go of certainty and old ways of doing things.  Let optimism give you courage to make your world a bigger and better place.  Position yourself for growth.

Cancer:   Your mother and home sector starts to move forward on 25th (having been in reverse since early-Feb) and self-doubt dissolves on 27th.  Jupiter in your 12th House can bring about a spiritual flowering, informative dreams, a heightening of compassion and a better understanding of the collective unconscious.  What should you do with all of this?  Make your compassion active, be creative and share your fears and dreams.  The latter may not come easily but practice makes perfect and the outcomes can be rewarding and healing, both for you and those around you.

Leo:   Communications which have been under review since early-Feb, start to move forwards on 25th as Saturn turns around.  Jupiter in your 11th House offers expansion through friends, groups and community.  Friends who are philosophical, possibly religious or from other countries or cultures could also come into your life.  They will enrich your world.  Be sure to meet them half way.  Also be alert to new group or community opportunities and enjoy this collective form of nourishment.

Virgo:   Finances start to move forward on 25th and career perks up from 27th.  But Neptune’s reversal makes things unclear in relationships and partnerships for the moment.  With Jupiter in your 10th House, growth in worldly status could be yours, as could career expansion or even freedom from all that.  People in authority can be helpful to you too.  If you happen to be one yourself – extend your benevolent influence as far as you can.

Libra:   Saturn’s weighty responsibilities start to move forwards on 25th.  Yes, the end is in sight!  Jupiter in your 9th House of travel, deep study, publishing and ‘the truth’ (whatever that means for you) can widen your horizons, free you and fill you with optimism.  (Legal matters and dealings with in-laws could benefit too).  It’s time to explore.  The world can be a friendly place.  Just turn up and let it show you!

Scorpio:   Self-doubt starts to fade away as Saturn moves forwards on 25th.  Yes you can!  Your ‘shared area’ sweetens up too from 27th.  Jupiter in your 8th House of birth, sex, death and joint funds may bring financial benefits from others.  This could be through partners, taxes or inheritance.  Learning to share is the big opportunity on offer – not just your resources but yourself – scary – but growth lies in this direction.

Sagittarius:   The burden or scarcity of friends, groups or community starts to lift from 25th onwards and authority figures smile upon you from 27th.  Jupiter in your 7th House shows relationships and partnerships (personal and business) are your next realm for expansion.  This could either be a new partnership, growth within a current one or a breaking of existing bonds for the freedom of new choices.  Whichever it is, your world will feel bigger and better.

Capricorn:  Father, career and social status start to move forward on 25th (having been on hold since early Feb) and work or health matters glide forward from 27th.  What a relief!  Jupiter in your 6th House can help to ease tensions, either through work, service to others or by lovingly tending yourself (and perhaps others) on a daily basis.  Colleagues or those who share your daily life, take on more importance, as do creative work and routines.  What about including some sports or yoga?  Eat well (healthily) get enough sleep.  Don’t over-indulge and keep things simple.  If thinking about getting a pet – do it.

Aquarius:   Hindrances to travel plans, studies or philosophical problems start to lift on 25th when Saturn goes direct.  Creativity improves from 27th too.  Jupiter in your 5th House indicates love affairs, children and creativity are your arenas for growth and expansion.  People from different cultures or those of a religious or philosophical outlook might feature too.  Feeling more athletic?  Don’t rein it in.  Leap into action!

Pisces:   Saturn’s change of direction means forward movement in your ‘shared area’ while Neptune’s reversal in Pisces calls for self-reflection.  With Jupiter in your 4th House, an expansion on the home front is in store.  Could that be a bigger home, or one in a different country or an expansion in emotional conditions which makes the home feel bigger?  Nurturing is your area of exploration.  Don’t forget to include yourself!

May 2012

May 2012 Horoscope

The main feature this month is Venus going retrograde mid-month.  Everything is tripping along lightly in flirtatious, playful Gemini when Venus suddenly stops and turns back to take a second look at what she has been doing.  This only happens every 18 months and creates an opportunity for us all to carry out an internal review of: relationships, creativity and values.  It could be just one of these areas, two of them or even a mixture of all three.

As the whole process takes place in Gemini, this might also involve looking at how we think about and communicate in these spheres and how true we are to others (and ourselves too).

Venus goes direct late-June but does not return to its first turning point (23º `) till the end of July.  So we have a whole two and a half months to mull this over.

Relationships of all kinds come under Venus’s umbrella, not just romantic.  And dealings with women may come under scrutiny, whatever your gender.  If you happen to be female, it might also raise the question of how you view and present yourself as a woman.
Enter… value systems.  Do we judge ourselves by internal or societal values?  Or have we just internalised them anyway?  The same question can be posed to men and their attitudes towards women too.  Our collective attitudes towards money and resources could do with an overhaul too.  This is the time for honest soul-searching.

Creativity is also on the menu.  Are we expressing ourselves on a superficial level creatively?  In fact are we expressing ourselves creatively at all?

And finally, do the values we have adopted, truly serve us well?  Venus has called a halt and wants some answers.

So what will this mean for us all?

Aries:   Communications have to be thought about and looked at again.  However you’ve been handling things, it won’t quite do.  Take a second look and after that, maybe even a third.  (Siblings and neighbours could also be implicated in some way).  Creativity takes on a new seriousness and should be extended.  Have you been communicating creatively or fraying at the edges?  Values create the context for all of the above.  How could you best share or shape yours?

Taurus:   Things get a shake up on the relationship front on 6th from the Full Moon in Scorpio.  Learn from it what you can.  And just as finances were starting to look sweet, Venus (your ruling planet grinds) to a halt on 15th.  The New Moon on 20th is ready for a change too.  Jupiter (the cavalry) will be coming over the horizon next month for a year but some things have to be thought out quite separately to that.  For instance, which is most important to you now: security or time for creativity?  Everyone expects Taurus to say ‘security’: but this time?

Gemini:   There you were charming the world and thinking no-one could see through that glossy, sharp, veneer when Venus suddenly pulled out!  Hey that’s not fair!  But have you been?  You know people love your shiny brand of fun but does ‘the never-ending show’ give anyone chance to truly know you?  The number of  activities, appointments and people you cram into your schedule might also need a review.  Could it be that you’ve been avoiding yourself through busy-ness?  A New Moon in Gemini on 20th brings opportunities for self-renewal.  Check in with yourself.

Cancer:   You were feeling fine.  That sometimes nagging inner voice was humming sweetly, when suddenly it started again: the inner-babble… “You can’t do that!  Whatever were you thinking of? Who do you think you are?”  If this sudden self-doubt has been prompted by hidden actions, give some thought as to the wisdom of such a path.  If your intentions have been open and up-front, then take this opportunity to get acquainted with your self-talk.  Studying ‘Mindfulness’ could help.

Leo:   Things were happily running smoothly with friends, teams, groups and community when a spanner hit the works and although I would always hesitate before confronting a Leo: it could be you.  You might not be able to smooth things over this time and an apology, if appropriate, would go a long way.  If you think others are to blame, think again as blaming only happens when people stop thinking: so think again.  Reviewing your communication style could be the only adjustment needed.  Try it.

Virgo:   While not driven by ego, career and social status carry some importance for you and all appears to be going well when suddenly Venus jumps ship.  This takes you somewhat aback.  Supporters may not be as solid as you thought and a review of your communications and relationships with women and authority figures could be helpful.  Your relationship with your mother or father or both (current or historical) could have some bearing on all of this too.  Look at relationship patterns, how you’ve been communicating and seek creative outcomes.

Libra:   Financial plans get thrown up in the air by the Full Moon on 6th and travel plans, legal matters or dealings with in-laws might go awry mid-month onwards too.  Try to keep an open mind.  Others may be mis-representing themselves and it could be tempting to do the same: but don’t.  Your approach to different cultures, religions and belief systems may need a review and overhaul.  Communication skills and a philosophical outlook may be your best bet.  Think before you speak but keep talking.

Scorpio:  Full Moon in your sign on 6th brings an emotional tide to a head and if you have things to communicate, people will feel it whether you manage to say it or not.  Dalliances and dealings with people that seemed inconsequential show themselves to be otherwise from 15th.  How much of yourself and your resources are you willing to share?  The less you offer, the less satisfying everything will feel.  The New Moon on 20th reinforces the need to take a deep look at this.  Try a new approach.

Sagittarius:   Relationships and partnerships are all over the place!  The month begins with everything bright and breezy and then Venus suddenly steps back mid-month.  What is all this about?  Well it’s a mirror.  However external things seem to be: they’re all aspects of yourself.  Take a good look, be honest (especially with yourself) and learn from what you are presented with.  The New Moon on 20th offers a fresh start, either with existing partners or possibly with new contenders.

Capricorn:   Communications and relationships at or around work seem to be fine until mid-month when misunderstandings could take hold.  Be clear and honest but also consider whether your communication style is exacerbating the problem.  We all need to review this from time to time.  And if you’re not sure, ask for feedback from others.  Health matters may need reviewing too.  Check that your nervous system isn’t getting over-stimulated.  Service to others is the third category.  Examining your values around this could be revealing.

Aquarius:   A Full Moon on 6th emotionally shakes up your father, career and social status area although that isn’t the main theme of the month.  Love affairs, children or creativity: which were going well, suddenly have to be looked at from 15th.  The New Moon on 20th prompts you to direct your attention here too.  Have you been selling yourself short, spreading yourself thin or just messing about to avoid a deeper experience?  Whatever your earlier approach, it might need looking at again.

Pisces:   All is going well at home until Venus steps back on 15th.  Words and actions may need to be looked at again.  And the question to ask yourself is: how much are the dynamics due to your communication style?  Over-busy-ness, frantic comings and goings and more than one home can all take their toll or feed misunderstandings.  This is a chance to look at what changes are needed to improve the emotional climate at home.  Could spending more time communing there be an answer?  Or communicating more sensitively?  The New Moon on 20th will also call you to give this your attention.  Try a new approach.

April 2012

April 2012 Horoscopes

Three planets change direction this month. Two go forwards and one goes backwards.  Mercury (which has been in reverse since mid-March) goes direct on 4th, easing communications and mix-ups.  Pluto (which has been rumbling in the background in Capricorn and will continue to do so for many more years) moves into reverse on 10th.  And Mars (which has been retrograde since late January) goes direct on 14th.

With Mars direct from mid-Month, it should be easier to move things forward.  This might not feel entirely comfortable however as Mars in Virgo is opposite Neptune in Pisces which means there are unknowns in the equation and it will not be possible to see the whole picture, however hard one tries to do so.  ‘Things’ have to be taken into consideration and it might not be entirely clear what these are but you will sense them.  However, the New Moon in Taurus on 21st will help Mars to press forwards and provide a bed-rock to build on.

Venus makes a passing T-square to this Mars-Neptune opposition early in the month.  Although not usually a significant trouble-maker, Venus is probably at its peskiest in Gemini.  Any urges to escape inner tensions through duplicity should be avoided.  Present the truth with charm instead.  Lightness of tongue should support you.

Mercury joins Uranus in Aries once again from 19th – 25th bringing more startling information to light and your revolutionary ideas to shift stuck situations get a new boost of energy.  This will be in different areas of life for each sign.

So what will this mean for us all?

Aries:   Unexpected information that came up mid-March re-emerges in a more helpful mode from 19th – 25th.  This could include ideas of your own which seemed too extreme or outlandish to act upon at the time.  But yes, maybe you could just pull it off!  As Sun moves into Taurus followed by the New Moon on 21st, money and security become one of your targets this month.  You also need to pay attention to how your unconscious has been impacting on your health and work.  Although it may not seem connected, communicating more will help to resolve this.  Get talking, start writing and sing!

Taurus:   Venus leaves your Jupiter love-in on 3rd but the Sun more than fills its shoes after 19th.  Venus has moved on to grace your money sector which will thankfully be looking better.  Mars moves forward mid-month in your love affairs, children and creativity zone but there’s still an uneasy question of: friendship v. romance or family v. friends and community.  The New Moon in your sign on 21st will reinforce you and give you confidence and a sense of personal renewal.  Gather revelations that leap out of your unconscious and dreams.  They appear now because you’re ready to hear them.

Gemini:  Your charm and honey tongue are going to be working overtime this month, as Venus in Gemini makes you the current darling of the zodiac.  Of course this is enjoyable but it isn’t licence to ride rough-shod over gentler types, so keep your ethical compass in place.  Moving forward on the home front gets easier from mid-month but a lack of clarity about your status, leaves you wondering whether you’ve taken everything into account.  More startling information or events arrive in your friends, groups and community area from 19th – 25th.  You’re not the only bearer of surprises it seems…

Cancer:   Travel prospects brighten after 4th as do legal matters or studies, so prepare to stretch your wings.  Communications with siblings or neighbours improve mid-month onwards too, having been in limbo since late-Jan.  Further shake-ups with status and career but friends, groups and community find a new lease of life and can be an outlet for your talents.  Spend kind words on those who need them (strangers included).

Leo:   Money matters move forward mid-month as Mars goes direct, although a nagging doubt remains about how much should be shared.  Work, health and daily routine need an overhaul.  This isn’t going away until mid-September so give it your attention now.  Jupiter and Sun in your status and career sector continue to keep you in the public eye (whether you like it or not).  Venus moves into your 11th House bringing harmony with friends, groups and teams.  Be open to a second attempt by Uranus to change your philosophical outlook.  We’re looking for fresh and hopeful!

Virgo:   With Mars moving direct on 14th, progress once again feels possible.  You don’t hold as much information as you might like about partners and relationships but that can’t be helped at present.  (More information about love affairs and children will come to light mid-September).  Your status takes on a pleasing aspect from 4th – 10th.  The world is smiling back and favours asked from those in high places will be granted.  Don’t be too shy to ask!

Libra:   Mars’s forward motion on 14th will help you to stop shooting yourself in the foot.  If your unconscious isn’t on your side, how can you expect anyone else to be?  Ideas or people from afar or from a different culture, could help you with this.  Be open to their counsel.  ‘The money of others’ is still looking sweet as is ‘sharing’.  And whatever was happening in relationships and partnerships last month: is here again…

Scorpio:   Group activities and friendships become more straight forwards mid-month onwards whereas romance and children remain something of a mystery.  Sharing more of yourself helps both areas.  There are still unexpected events with work or health but the great consolation is in your relationships and partnerships zone.  Enjoy this growth (or freedom)!

Sagittarius:   We spring into the world from our roots and foundations but despite the current lack of clarity in this area; career and status start to move forwards mid-month.  Work and health are looking sturdy too and relationships with colleagues are enriching.  And as if all of this wasn’t enough… relationship temptations may be dangled before you…

Capricorn:   Communications improve from 4th but without necessarily getting any clearer.  Knots of contention in beliefs or philosophy get easier mid-month onwards and textbooks, legal documents or passports might get dusted and put back into use.  More startling revelations to do with mother or home, explain earlier mysteries.  Despite all the activity on the visible landscape: the biggest changes are internal.

Aquarius:   Money matters are somewhat clearer after 4th and sharing becomes more productive, mid-month onwards.  An analytical breakdown of resources could be helpful, so that they can all be fully put to use (or got rid of).  It’s time to express yourself more at home.  Make the time and space to do so.

Pisces:   Recent tendencies to be tongue-tied, melt away on 4th and communications go from strength to strength after 19th.  Partnerships could be prickly for the first half of the month but progress can be made thereafter.  More startling changes on the finance front but home is looking lovely.  Grace it with your time, attention and care.  And always remember – a house full of people is definitely a home improvement!

March 2012

March 2012 Horoscopes

For those who thought their winter blues would never end, hope is here at last!  Lively planetary line-ups in Aries will cut through any dormancy or despair.  Spring is here!  The week of the Spring Equinox is spectacular but even before then, Mercury meets up with Uranus in Aries on March 5th zapping our thoughts with electrical energy.  Sudden realisations, telepathic tunings and crazy but wonderful ideas could all break out!  Any self-indulgent ruminating or melancholic gloom is over!  This startling mental wake-up makes us realise – yes, we are alive!

Mercury reverses back over Uranus on 18th (as matters have to be finished off in Pisces first) but everything gets taken finally forward on Mercury’s third transit over Uranus (on April 22nd).

Meanwhile, the Sun gathers momentum and leaps into Aries on March 20th.  Night becomes only as long as day (and from this point on, gets shorter and shorter until the Summer Solstice).  Just to keep you on the hop, there is a New Moon in Aries on 22nd (another new cycle) and then Sun teams up with Uranus on 24th (yet another zap!)  So five days of hot, fresh energy and new beginnings!
The other magnificent feature of the month is the meeting of Venus with Jupiter in Taurus on March 14th.  This only happens every twelve years (or less).  So heightened senses and good cheer should reach us and teach us all (in different areas of life).  And there could even be financial benefits for some…

So what will this mean for us all?

Aries:   The joint is jumping for Aries this month.  Mercury, the Sun and New Moon all stimulate Uranus which has been in your sign since March 2011.  This activates all the revolutionary changes of direction which started then (and were even rumbling under the surface in summer 2010).  Aries, we depend on you to innovate and lead the way forward.  This month your lightning insight, incisive mind and fresh ideas will do just that.  Put them into action before 12th.  Money looks sweet on 14th as do sensual delights…
Taurus:  Astonishing things are happening behind the scenes and some of that could be in the back of your own mind!  So much is going on, you may need to stop and give it some of your attention.  Ideas for compassionate projects spring out of nowhere as might realisations about your spiritual path.  Buried memories could suddenly emerge.  And creativity behind the scenes, the internet or institutions can also bring sudden change.  Venus glides into your sign on 5th giving you loads charisma and on 14th you’re everyone’s darling.  Enjoy it princes and princesses!

Gemini:   Electrifying communications with friends, teams or groups bring lots of surprises and could change your thinking.  We know Geminis like to be masters of surprise themselves but you might not have seen this one coming!  Things still need to be attended to at home but they get easier on 14th when compassion gets the better of you.  Acts of kindness, unions or reunions lead the way.  Trust your intuition and be sure not to go on a bender…

Cancer:   Extraordinary events impact your father, career and social status sector.  Capture all the new ideas that come to mind.  (Yes, write them down).  They could offer you more freedom (starting late April).  Neighbours or siblings continue to be annoying but an opening of the heavens in your house of friends, groups and community make irritations dissolve into insignificance.  Belonging is a much overlooked source of happiness and this month you realise you do!

Leo:   Travel and exploration look so exciting, it will be hard to keep still, so don’t bother trying.  Get out there into the great outdoors or the world.  Your philosophy of life could also get an unexpected bolt of lightning, when you realise cynicism has no place in your new outlook!  Career and status looks like honey on 14th.  He who does not ask never gets, so take a chance and go for it!  We’re talking glorious achievement: not money.  But as it’s in Taurus, it could even bring money too!

Virgo:   Sudden changes of fortune take place through others.  This may not be relaxing…  Your beliefs about sharing may also get zapped.  Staying the same is not an option so accept this wake up call that you need to change your outlook!  Intimate encounters take you by surprise and occupy your mind as might joint funds.  Travel, philosophy or legal matters save the day on 14th when an act of faith overcomes self-doubt.

Libra:   With so many new things happening in relationships and partnerships, it may be hard to keep up.  Partners are changeable or you are and unexpected words might just tumble out when you’re trying to sort things out.  You will only be shocked; to the degree that you were 100% sure of everything.  Your intuitions about your partner can be relied upon.  If unattached, that could suddenly change too as could your open-ness to such a possibility (which of course changes everything too).  Intimate sharing and money from others looks sweet.  If you’re doing the bailing out, make sure it’s appreciated!

Scorpio:   Your work or daily routine just got struck by lightning.  And the results of this blinding flash are certainly interesting.  Colleagues might come out with all sorts of things (and so might you) or you might start thinking differently about it all (which in itself can change everything).  A new mission could suddenly grab you.  Even pets could feature unexpectedly.  Relationships and partnerships are a source of harmony and growth.  This could mean the growth of a new relationship, growth within an existing one or growth through freedom from it all.  Let down your Scorpio guard and tell someone special how you feel!

Sagittarius:   Love affairs, children or creativity are going crazy this month.  It’s on.  It’s off.  No it’s on again!  You might feel like the ball in a ping-pong game at times but there’s nothing wrong with high-speed change.  We’re just not used to it.  Work (as opposed to career), colleagues, pets, being of service to others or your daily routine are a source of joy.  Give thanks for your blessings and enjoy them.

Capricorn:   Home is supposed to be a calm and cosy place but not this month.  Everything seems to be on the move and as soon as you’ve got your head around one thing, everything changes again.  This could even involve where you live, who else lives there, security or communications in the home.  Home truths could burst out and if they do, they do.  The truth is refreshing and sometimes it needs to be aired.  This month’s sudden airing could be a big one!  As if to comfort you during this startling time; love affairs, children and creativity are wonderfully aglow.  Plan delights for 14th!

Aquarius:   Your mind is revving overtime and ideas are bursting out all over the place.  You’re communicating at high frequency which can be exciting (for you and others) but hard on the nervous system.  So get lots of exercise (try something new) and apply all this mental energy to projects.  Your intuition is electrifying.  Sudden you just ‘know’ something but don’t know how or why this information comes to you.  Siblings and neighbours might be unpredictable and things might be said…  The great comfort this month however is home.  Beautify it, share it, entertain and luxuriate!

Pisces:  We know you’re all loved up with Neptune back in your sign but so much is going on in the money, possessions, security and values sector, it’s hard to think of anything else.  Chopping and changing can be fine in some areas of life: but money…?  The best thing could be some wonderful, amazing, extraordinary idea to generate new funds.  It has to be original, OK?  Another scenario could be: stuff the  money and give me freedom!  Meanwhile, a benevolent mind helps ethical thinking and language learning to go well too.  Do your best!

February 2012

February 2012 Horoscope

Three planets (Mercury, Sun and Neptune) move into Pisces this month, joining Chiron which has been there full-time since last February.  Sun and Mercury make this visit every year but Neptune has not been in Pisces (its own sign) since 1861.

Discovered in 1846, Neptune has now completed its first whole cycle since it has been in our consciousness.

A planet returning to its own sign is a strengthening homecoming and brings a feeling of ‘rightness’.  Someone once said that home is the only place you can turn up and not have to make an effort.  Your presence is accepted and understood.  And so it is with planetary homecomings.

Neptune is the planet of idealism, transcendence, confusion, illusion, delusion, connectivity, mystery and spirituality.  So we can all expect to feel at least one of these qualities (in a different area of life for each sign).

Added to Chiron, planet (or asteroid, depending on your point of view) of wounding and healing: the potential for humble, compassionate progress or unhelpful (to you and others) delusion or deception, is strong.

Neptune is going to be in Pisces until January 2026.  So there will be plenty of time to get used to it.  Nebulousness is not everyone’s cup of tea.  And this learning process is not an up-front one.  You will have to just feel your way.  Things cannot be forced into clarity, so learn to appreciate subtleties and keep in mind that confusion is always a creative state.

Saturn goes retrograde in Libra this month too and will remain there until late June.  This is almost the last stretch of weighty issues we have all been learning to deal with (again in a different area of life for each sign).
So what will this mean for us all?

Aries:   Your unconscious is busy, busy, busy so take some time out to give it your full attention.  Tranquil retreats, meditation and paying attention to your dreams could all fit the bill.  Be conscious of your internet use too.  Institutions (prisons, hospitals or psychiatric units) might call for your compassion, as might those living outside ‘a comfortable life’.  Spiritual solace and development is another possibility but make sure you check the credentials of anyone who presents themselves as a guide.  Venus enters your sign on 8th and will stay there until March 5th.  This means you are irresistible and ‘hot’.  Why are you still sitting there reading this?  Get out there!

Taurus:   Friends, groups and community may all need your empathy and understanding.  And the frail of mind and body might be among them.  Help as much as you can.  Your own dealings and membership of groups can also have a mysterious or healing effect (on them and you).  You might come to realise more than ever that we are all in the pool together and whatever happens to one, on some level happens to us all.  You have until late June to review work or health matters.  And make sure that Jupiter does not bring about unwanted expansion.  Yes, the waistline…

Gemini:   Your beliefs about your father, career and social status become unclear and people won’t quite know what to make of it all either.  For better or for worse, your relationship with your father has had a bearing on your career choices in life and feelings about your own status.  If you feel so inclined, it could be fruitful to explore this with a therapist.  Love affairs, children and creativity require a re-think.  In terms of your worldly aspirations: aim for content not glamour.

Cancer:   The allure of foreign lands, religions and philosophies or even deep studies might call you from your reflections.  Or someone may turn up who represents one of these principles.  With matters still to sort at home, this could provide a welcome escape.  In fact escape could be just what you’re hoping for!  Legal matters look tricky, so avoid them if you can.  Influential people in other spheres will be well-disposed towards you from 8th if you need their help.

Leo:   Birth, sex, death and transformation are your highlighted dreamy areas and will continue to be so for some years.  The spiritual side of sharing will become as important as the physical and will teach you many things: so long as you do not give way to dissipation.  Communications (or relationships with siblings or neighbours) require a second look.  In terms of communicating in general: are you?  Joint funds (taxes, debts and inheritances) may appear or disappear.  Accept whatever comes and share it.

Virgo:   Whatever happens in relationships and partnerships will change everything.  And we are looking here at a 14 year stretch.  No amount of analysing or inspection will make the slightest bit of difference.  You are afloat and this might come as a great relief.  No, it certainly isn’t your usual style and it might even feel like you’re going backwards but the real question is: why ever didn’t you try these dreamy waters before?

Libra:   Saturn goes retrograde in your sign on 7th.  This is almost the last stretch of Saturn’s heavy weight on your shoulders.  (Yes there is an end in sight).  Meanwhile, carry on with your internal review of identity and self-expression.  The brakes come off and you can apply all your conclusions early October.  To make all this ruminating worthwhile, be scrupulously honest with yourself.  Work and service to others should express your creative or compassionate ideals.  Beware of dissipation.  Yes I mean drink and drugs…

Scorpio:   You are vulnerable to the charms of suitors so be careful who you mingle with.  All that glitters is not gold.  And flattery may gloss over no worthwhile content.  Check people out.  Creativity will be at an all-time high though, so enjoy and apply it wherever you can.  Children may need your compassion, including the weak and vulnerable.  Perhaps you could inspire their creativity or compassion too.  Take your ideals and apply them to daily life.

Sagittarius:   Friends may be demanding or thin on the ground and groups could be difficult and need a review.  Unclear feelings about mother, home and nurturing arise again and somehow boundaries are impossible to find.  While compassion is helpful; self-abnegation usually isn’t.  (Therapeutic support could help to differentiate between the two).  The ideals you feel you are offering might have more to do with your needs, rather than your recipient’s; which is fine.  But be aware of that.

Capricorn:   Loving clarity as you do, you are unlikely to find it as Neptune enters your 3rd House.  Mystery, subterfuge, idealism and delusion are much more appealing to Neptune.  So just how are you going to think about everything now?  Your imagination will be working over-time, so how about that unwritten novel or song?  Words of kindness wouldn’t go astray either (especially to neighbours or siblings).  Creativity will be flowing like a river: channel it.

Aquarius:   What on earth has happened to your finances?  And how can you apply your ideals to them?  Wishful thinking might not be the best strategy but it is hard to figure out anything else!  Trying to make an income through compassionate or creative or idealistic pursuits might, if you’re lucky, fit the bill.  Travel and legal matters could drag and your position on religion or philosophy requires yet a further review.  Remember this: your self-esteem and your income are quite separate matters.

Pisces:   Your attempts to be like everyone else, become almost irrelevant.  Neptune your ruling planet has come home (for 14 years!), so what isn’t possible?  Your sense of self may feel less concrete but this could be a huge relief.  Pressure to be like everyone else has been dissolved.  Your longing to merge with something bigger and beyond yourself, feels like it is at last possible and understood.  Show us all how to be a willing molecule in the oceanic collective.
